***UPDATE on Walk Away from Ben Lomond Conservation Camp***

Santa Cruz, California –John Collard, 56, a minimum-security inmate from California Correctional Center walked away from Ben Lomond Conservation Camp (CC #45) on September 2, 2014.

Inmate Collard left CC #45 driving a white 2006 Ford F250 4-door pickup. The truck no longer has the camper shell that was originally attached.  Inmate Collard may be trying to disguise the truck by using magnetic style business signs.

It appears the escape may have been planned. Inmate Collard should not be approached and may be dangerous.  Anyone seeing Collard should contact  9-1-1 or law enforcement authorities immediately.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing with the search and apprehension efforts at this time.

Collard is a White male, 5’ 7” tall, 155 pounds, with green eyes and grey hair. He was committed to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) on February 4, 2013, from Monterey County for Criminal Threat, Resisting/Deterring Officer w/Threat/Violence, Poss/Own Firearm by Felon or Addict. He was scheduled to be released from CDCR custody on
January 4, 2018.
